More than 2,000 customers in Orillia, Severn and Oro-Medonte were in the dark for a short time Wednesday afternoon.
Hydro One and Orillia Light and Power crews worked to restore electricity to affected areas.
“It was a tree down on one of the main lines,” said Hydro One spokesperson Daniele Gauvin, explaining what caused the outage.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., only a handful of customers were still waiting to have power restored.
